hi there,
I have upgraded to postgresql 7.4 on my debian unstable computer.
Reloaded the databases and all seems to work fine (can connect to postgres

The only waht not is working is that I cannot connect to postgresql through
TCP/IP.

We installed KDE and GMC on the computer of my girlfriend.
So far nothing wrong.
After these we installed KDM (we also tried it with XDM) but everytime we

Hi,
I have a problem mounting my cdrom, maybe someone can help?
When I look with dmesg, I see that my cdrom is recognized as "/dev/hdc" (hdc:
CD-ROM 36X/AKU, ATAPI CDROM drive).
Next what I did was making a symbolic link to /dev/hdc (ln -s /dev/hdc

Hi,
I'm trying to install XMPS mediaplayer.
When I do an apt-get it says that there are broken dependencies, and that I
have to get "libsdl1.2" first.
Ok, so I did, but I only could get "libsdl1.2debian-all" from the unstable dir
(my system is a unstable Debian).
But now when I try to get XMPS
something to do with Mozilla I file a report.
Anyway thanks,

While using Skipstone it crashed.
After that I can't get it to startup again.
I did a apt-get remove --purge skipstone and mozilla-browser, followed with a

Hi,
To get truetype fonts I have installed xfstt and xfs on my Debian-cid machine.
For one part it's working now, in mozilla and Skipstone I now have a list in
which I can choose the font I want.
The problem is to get the fonts in a non-debian application "Jedit".

That was simple, I downloaded the single package.
Then apt-get install skipstone and its working now.

Hi,
I'm stil working on my network, I managed to compile a new kernel with
IP-masqurading in it and continued with trying to get my network running.
I did: ifconfig 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 and then ipmasq.
All looks good, noerrors this time.
I'm able to ping to the windows machine
o start to find out why that is.
When somebody allready have an idea about this error:
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k binfmt -464c, errno=8
Ok, I start reading about this.
