Installing Debian on an SSD

Hi, Does the Debian installer work out of the box for SSDs? I.e. I heard that you need to align the partitions to 32bit virtual clusters (is it actually true?). Are there any other things I need to take into account while installing Debian on SSD? I bought the Samsung 840 250GB drive, if it makes

Kaffeine and Amarok don't play any sounds and crash

Hi, I am running (up to date) Debian Testing and recently I have issues with Amarok, Kaffeine and all Xine based players - they fail to play any sound. Often these apps crash on exit (I am not sure if its related). I found in /var/log/messages: Jan 14 14:53:52 grzes pulseaudio[1105]: [pulseaudio]
