Yep... Foot and head. Any further such divisiveness and
the commercial UNIX and X operations are going to go down
the drain.

How can I tell if there is trouble with the geometry of my
SCSI drives? More importantly, how can I resolve any problems?!
And, what are the chances that BSD will boot if I add the
``linear'' option after striking ``compact''?
Any//all feedback welcome...

Trying to install lilo, I see this warning:
``Must specify LOADER for BIOS device 0x81''
What does this mean?
Thanks for some insight here.

in two files on two boxes. Also made the mods to my /etc/lilo
configuration as you suggested. Debian is the default boot;
other=bsd.
Do you see anything more to be done before I install the loader?
Much obliged!

Who can tell me how to use lilo to boot off LUN0 or LUN1? Is
there a way of installing lilo that would not lock me out of BSD?
Help much appreciated.

I'd be much obliged for some work-arounds here. Am I using
the wrong rescue disk or what?

Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
I had also reported this problem with module configuration a week (?) ago, but
have not heard anything about corrections to the installation program. Is
this being worked on?

I have recently installed the beta 1.1 release on 2 systems - a generic desktop
PC (486DX4/80) and an IBM ThinkPad 360 Laptop. The install is very smooth now.
However, I have not been able to configure modules for the kernel. I didn't
even notice the module config option when I first installed,
eems to be split in half, and replicated in both the top and
bottom halves.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
