Hi everybody,   Anybody know how i can manage these:   I don't want the gnome starts when i boot   I don't want the gpm starts when i boot   And i want to see the tops of the windows when i'm working in gnome... in mandrake i can just click somewhere in the window and drag it but in debian??

Sorry for old wrong mail.. :(( Dear Jim, I did the same thing you said because i had the same problem... But my debian couldnt find Glibc_2.0 package... I couldnt find anywhere so i decided to ask. Do you remember where did you fing it ? Intel's rpm requires that file... Any idea? Thanks in adva

x server again and again

I've upgraded my xfree86 to 4.0.3  configured it but it had a porblem... in log it was written as : Symbol VBEInit from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/i810_drv.o is unresolved!   Does this mean i had something wrong? I have a i810 motherboard and i2ve selected to load all 3 of i810 mod

Hi everybody,   I'm new to linux and debian... I've just installed debian ad chose the x window and components but it says it cannot make a config file and cannot communicate with x server... My pc has i810 motherboard and i chose i810's all modules but still i couldnt manage to have a x serv
