sure though as I am in the process of upgraing to woody as write this :).

from Linus (www.kernel.org). Then you can install
the kernel-package and build your kernel using make-kpkg. Also you can look
at the documentation at /usr/share/doc/kernel-package. You will also need
some other things like fakeroot, etc. When you are all done you will have you
very own kern
(development verison) and if it is even it is
stable.

Also after you unmute and turn up the sound you shoud do (as root) 'alsactl
store' which will write the settings to /etc/alsa.conf.
I am using ALSA on my laptop, but I did not use the debs I compiled the
latest version myself.

you try 'dpkg -l acroread*' that should tell you whether it is installed,
otherwise just do 'apt-get install acroread' to install it. With potato they
have version 4.05.

you have you XF86Config file using the real device (/dev/psaux for PS/2

Isn't there a kernel patch for mounting an ext2 file system with the uid and
guid options? I'd like to be able to mount and write to ext2 floppies as a
