to a CDRW at 4x using EDCD. It worked beautifully. Rebooted
and can report that it seems to have worked well:)

Hi
I used wget to grab Raphaƫl Hertzog's woody iso last weekend
and was going to try it out today, but I see he's released a
new version.
I've tried to update it using rsync -- I'm an rsync
virgin:), but everything I've tried has failed. These are
the commands I've tried:

I use apt-get to keep this potato box up to date. However, I
often use dpkg -l to search for packages whose name I'm not
quite sure of. It was during one of these searches ('dpkg -l
syslog\*') that I noticed that the packages available
according to dpkg is different to that of dselect and
apt-get.

Try adding
deb http://www.debian.org/~vincent/ xfree-update main
to your sources.list. This provides XFree86 3.3.6 (probably
Hi
I updated my two potato boxes earlier today (29/12) using
apt-get. One succeeded but the other segfaulted after/during
configuration of mc, which was the last package to config.
Now, whenever I try almost any operation with apt-get, I get
a segfault while it is reading the package lists. The o

Just out of interest, I took a look at #debian on undernet
(I tried a few servers, details upon request). Rather, I
*tried* to join #debian, but there wasn't a #debian to
join:(
So, is it used -- it is undernet isn't it?
My apologies for any technical inexactitudes contained in
