I setting up a linux system to be a router and want to do static and dynamic

I want to replicate my Debian system onto a number of other PCs, not all of
which have the same size hard drive. Is there a good way to make an image
of a partition(s) and replicate to other PCs.
Thanks,

I'm having difficulty telnetting into my system. It appears that I get a
connection right away, but it takes a long time to receive the login prompt
and often I don't receive a prompt at all. Any advice would be appreciated.
