update-rc.d error: using dependency based boot sequencing?

Hi, I added /etc/init.d/tightvncserver to start a VNC server. It looks fine -- I have the LSB comments and it works when invoked directly from the command-line, e.g. cd /etc/init.d ./tightvncserver start But update-rc.d gives an error: root@debian01:/etc/init.d# update-rc.d tightvncserver defau

Setting up simple VNC Server?

I'm looking for the simplest, quickest way to setup VNC Server so I can access my Debian machine from Windows. There are a number of ways found on the web -- is there a best practice?
