The two ways I use are to check this link to search the contents of packages:

In my experience with the DLXXX G3 line, at least for the IA32 boxes basic
support is not a problem. The HPQ driver
Problem: dhcpcd wouldn't run with config files, only when configured on
command line
Solution: the format given in the example config file in /etc/dhcpc seems to
either be incorrect or, at least, it doesn't work for my ISP (@home). The
format _given_ is as follows:

Well, I guess I _could_ use a shell script to start it, but it bothers me
that it used to work yet suddenly does not. The config files sure seem to
be written correctly. I have installed other packages since dhcpcd that
mess with network things, such as ssh and oidentd, but I don't see how this

I have a box that provides network services to some other computers that is
running Potato. It accesses the internet via cable modem, using dhcpcd to
get its IP address. The problem I'm having is that it won't work unless I
run it with configuration options on the command line, although I have my

That's sure what they say, but I've been using it for a while now on the
laptop and it works
I use this NIC in my boxes, and I _think_ your tulip driver is detecting the
wrong card. What kernel are you using? Mine worked with the kernel's
tulip.c driver as far back as 2.2.1, and it works in 2.2.17 and 2.4 test 7.
Here is the message on init with 2.2.17 pre6:

I'm having a lot of trouble getting dhcpcd to work on a virtual NIC, and I'm
having trouble with IP-alias in general. It works fine if I set it up
manually:
/sbin/ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.5 up
However, getting this to work by editing the "interfaces" config file in
/etc/network fails to bring i
I'm using Debian 2.1 (slink) and I have two packages I'm trying to install,
g++2.95.2-12 and libstdc++2.1-dev that seem to depend on each other. I have
them unpacked but can't configure them since they claim, correctly, that the
other is not configured. How can I get them to work?

In the course of attempting to get the Lucent Winmodem binary-only module to
work with my 2.1r Debian box, I did the following:
Tried kernels 2.2.12, 2.2.14, 2.2.15, even 2.0.36 (it was there )
Disabled all integrated peripherals
Removed all cards except vid card and modem
Removed all cards _and_
I am having trouble getting the Lucent Winmodem module to work. I am
running Slink (2.1r) with the 2.2.15 kernel. Here is what I enter and the
result:

insmod -f ltmodem.o
(kernel mismatch info displayed, already cleared this issue by checking the
archives)
