gnome 2.4. I have also installed the OSS sound drivers. I can play
sounds on web pages. However, when I put a CD into my DVD drive and
try to play it, it tells me that there is a drive error. I also have a

Thanks for recommending bootpart. I used it successfully and it did the
trick. It also indicated that I needed to use the LBA flag in order to
get dual boot working. I can now successfully boot into linux using my
XP boot loader.

drive. I added a second hard drive and installed Debian Woody on it. I
installed LILO with MBR on /dev/hdb1 which is my / partition. The
machine
does not have a floppy drive, so I rebooted and used the Debian CD to
