Apparently yet another pulseaudio error. If I am not much mistaken the
debian espeakup distribution I have working on this system uses alsa
rather than pulseaudio which may be why it works. If some sound didn't
work in my case, I'd not have Linux working at all since I need speech

time it has never let me down. Even though it has been put to work under
relatively hard conditions for a laptop. As far as build quality goes, it
isn't the old Thinkpad anymore, but it is still a lot better

renamed to blacklist.conf.dpkg-bak.
The date says:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 658 Nov 14 06:01 blacklist.conf.dpkg-bak
On that date I only installed lsof.
Any insights?

I've just bought a Creative Audigy sound card and I have discovered
that the manual is stored in proprietary files for MS Windows (Vista
and XP), so the Creative CD-ROM is no use to me.
Could anybody tell me what the sockets on the Audigy are for? They are:-
- light blue
- light green
