Like several other persons I experienced a problem of crashing XWindows
while trying to run StarOffice (yes, I have S3ViRGE card). By using
the SVGA server I could solve the problem but unfortunately Netscape
icons looks funny at 24bpp. Recently I noticed that VMWare has a couple of
optimized
looks like a bug in win 95/98 crashes a system that has been up more than
49 days -- but no one finds it because they always crash long before that
anyway.

cause they're older.
What I have to do is to copy all files from
/usr/src/linux/include/linux to /usr/include/linux and it works.

I think you said you wanted to do this with a 2.0 kernel; mine works using a
late-2.1 kernel (2.1.132?). I just followed the instructions in the kernel
source file Documentation/sound/OPL3-SA2: the driver is good for SA2, SA3
and SAx.

cds. In the installation when it asks for the path to base2_1.tgz, even though
it is there, it says there is a file error and it cant extract

I'd recommend a Permedia 2 based card, and not just because I work for
3Dlabs.
* They are dirt cheap these days. 8MB card for around $80 (I would
have thought. I'm in the UK)
* XFree86 now has a nice fast and stable X-server for them, although
not included in slink as you nee
Firstly, do you know what netscape uses to print. Eg, when I press
print in NS, the dialogue box says:
Print Command: lpr
Also, what are you using to filter? I use magicfilter, 'cos it does
everything for you. If you use this, make sure you have run
magicfilterconfig
and this sets up a go

You may be right, tcsh ain't exactly freshmeat's newest. But then again,

If you mean mars_nwe, the netware server, it's in the project/experimental
directory on all good debian mirrors.
