After some investigation, it seems that the KDE 1.0 debs are missing quite a lot
of files from /usr/share/toolbar. I unpacked the kdebase b4 package, and just
copied them over. FYI, you extract from the .deb with ``ar x filename.deb''
and then un tar-gzip the binary.tar.gz to get the files. I repor

the 2.0.34 or 35 series or the 2.1 or greater.

Yes, I have one. It works peachily. I do reccomend installing and using
set6x86 and patching your kernel with the cyrix patch (the new kernels, I
believe) don't need this. So as to turn on some specific features of the
CPU and so Linux will recognize it and lists it's name correctly in the
logs.
I see no reason why it would not. I have installed, run, and seen Linux
and Debian on many Cyrix CPUs. I personally have a 150+.

If vi said lines were too long, then you can not use vi to see all of the file.
If vi ran out of tmp space, then try setting TMPDIR env var to point to a place
that has up to ?? amount of space. I can't remember if vi needs double the

During installation of Debian Linux 1.3, I am getting the following error

I did the same, although I actually got them from the sunsite ftp site.
I also have the missing pixmaps for the title bar, and also have no
screensavers. All else seems OK so far. I uninstalled beta 4 first.
I couldn't find the admin deb package at sunsite, but that's fairly
minor anyway.

You must boot from a floppy. Use the resc disk here.
You need to put lmemroot.bin on a floppy for use during the install.
When you get the "boot: " prompt tell it "floppy0"

It has an AMD '386 DX/DXL-25 processor, and a 41 MB HDD. BIOS detects 640KB
