I'll go for IPSec too (freeswan), but maybe PPTP is easier to configure.
Have a look at:
pptp-linux - PPTP Microsoft Compatible Tunneling Protocol
pptpd - PoPToP Point to Point Tunneling Server
Client and server for PPTP VPNs.

Have a look at www.freeswan.org. It is an IPSec implementation for Linux,
which works great on debian. Win2000 also supports IPSec, and I remember

Hello!
I did something like this, using sshd on Debian and
portforwarder on windows. Portforwarder is able to forward any
number of locat ports to remote machine over secure ssh tunel.
I did it only for few services (POP3 and SMTP) but it should also
works for any other services.

could build this system, although if there is such a thing I will
gladly read it. I'm mainly seeking discussion on the various methods
