This could be included in the famaus automatic build and/or packaging
system, coundn't it?
And/or there could be an automatic email warning to a developer
uploading a package without the a
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

You could also do something like this to generate md5sums for packages
that don't have them yet:
cd /var/cache/apt/archives
apt-get --download-only --reinstall install `debsums -l`
debsums --generate=keep,nocheck *.deb
(redownload all deb pac
