I can understand that Michael does not have the time and motivation for
such a backport, Chromium will take much time. But maybe others have.
And there will be more packages with this problem, e.g. Iceweasel and
Icedove.

Backports is not used by default. Only when you ask explicitly for a
backport you get it. Something like:
apt-get -t squeeze-backports install ...

An exception is when a package is only available in backports, or wh
t;? And BTW, I don't think they will brake the installation by
using packages from backports.

Backports could be enabled by default in a new release, e.g. to have
Iceweasel in a fresh install.
