I tested the package. It works like a charm.
I used packer to rebuild an image based on Debian 10, with a
cloud-init shell script to grab your package [1].
Anyway, at the end, I have a new image, which contains your package.
Then, I did 2 tests on OVH Public Cloud (OpenStack):
