With Dolphin, I tried to copy some files:
1. Open multiple tabs looking at different directories.
2. Select some files, drag them to the title of another tab (without
releasing the mouse button).

I'm still investigating, but have some results and a
simplification of the test case:

Tracked it down to libkatepart in the kdelibs package.
The code already had support in case the search & replace added
newlines to the text, but didn't treat \n or \r specially in the
replacement text. The patch makes \0...\9, \\, \n and \t behave
as they do in sed.

That should sound more confident than it does. The bug is fixed
because the old code first found the \0, then checked for a
preceeding backslash, and got stuck if there was.

Using Konqueror to browser the directories of the openclipart-svg
package makes kio_thumbnail hog CPU and memory. Opening some of
the files sim
r the bug. A minimal test case is attached, as is a patch
which will silently ignore such malformed polygons (while still
rendering the rest of the SVG).
