When I start the ksysguard panel applet, it can't connect to ksysguardd,
because ksysguardd isn't running. I have to start it manually.
In KDE 3.3, I don't remember ever having to start ksysguardd myself, or

Each time a user logs in via kdm, the event is recorded twice in utmp
and wtmp. For example, here users carey and andrex are logged in on
VT7 and VT8:

OK, confirmed. I set UseSessReg=fals

Select Preferences, RDP Defaults. Choose a color depth of 16 or 24
bits, and click OK. If you then go back to Preferences, RDP Defaults,
the color depth is back at 8 bits.

I just noticed that the same thing happens with the RDP keyboard layout
preference: it's stuck at en-us. Changes to desktop resolution do
stay.

The Info Center help page for audiocd:/ is missing. I see that
usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/kioslave/audiocd.docbook isn't present in

/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/faces is empty. Should it be? In KDE3,
there was a whole directory of images that users could use for their
kdm faces.

When I lock my display and then try to log in again via kdm, the login
is always denied. /var/log/auth.log shows:

I should clarify that I have /etc/pam.d/other set to deny all
authentication, which is what happened in this case. Other users who have a
more standard password authentication in other wouldn't notice this bug.

I also have this problem, with kmix 3.5.1. Every time I re-log in, I have
to reset all of my component volume sliders. It's annoying.
