The bug is reproducible with pure sid (kernel 3.2.0-3-amd64) as well,
also here is an improved backtrace:

I can also reproduce the kwin segfaults in a live environment under
kvm, using xserver-xorg-video-modesetting and kernel 3.5/ 3.6~,
interestingly the problems disappear if I bump up kvm's system RAM
to ~3 GB or more (it reliably fails up to and including 2.5 GB).

Same problem. Fresh install of Wheezy, KDE 4.8.4, cups installated.
system-config-printer WORKS, and i can add new printers
system-config-printer-kde DOES NOT WORK and crashes
In Kubuntu 12.04 there isn't this problem, but it uses KDE 4.8.2.
