Unfortunately not. At least in testing. I can use left/right to select
an article, and up/down for scrolling in the article, but left/right
scrolling in the article works just with the mouse.

You might want to try a dual-head setup with the latest radeon driver (the free
one). Though that would mean loss of 3D support at least until the end
