It seems that my problem with KDE it was due to a bad firewall rule. So I don't have this problem. Sorry.

Bug#258938: Same problem without fam

I have the same problem, but I don't have installed that you call fam, and I don't have NFS. In my computer: 1) When splash screen says "Initializating services..." it takes a lot of time in that position and after that the splash screen dissapear and only the mouse pointer is seen.
