This issue is known upstream (see bug's "forwarded" info). A work-around (that's acceptable at least to me) seems to be to disable the KDE Wallet system entirely (KDE Control Center -> Security & Privacy -> KDE Wallet -> Wallet Preferences -> Enable the KDE wallet subsystem := OFF). signature.
