One can use kicker with other windows manager, such as openbox. Ok, kicker
installation with apt-get install kicker is not possible anymore
since now it has been going into another package.

Okular's search fails to find non-ascii umlaute. I guess it could be a bug in
libpoppler since evince fails this too. Example pdf I noticed the bug in:

I just tested with the new KDE version in testing, and kmix is still
not able to adjust the sound on a LTSP thin client.
alsamixer work, and show one volume control. But for GUI users,
alsamixer is not really a good alternative to present.
