Thoughts? Strong objections?
(And for whatever it's worth, I've been posting some relevant bits to

of you aren't subscribed.)

we required before, since emacsen-common is vastly smaller than any of
the flavors.
Ideally, the dependency requirement, assuming we decide that it's
necessary, will turn out to be a temporary addition -- until we figure
out how to remove it again (perhaps with triggers, or some other
approach).

e there's one more vestigial bit, i.e. the libltdl-dev
dependency in the control file. That's from guile-1.8, not 2.0, and
should no longer be necessary.

e I've been keeping track of the status of various significant
rdepends (and talking to the maintainers) in order to keep track of
where we stand. Right now it looks like I'll probably be downgrading
all the bugs next week, and letting 1.8 go for another release.

; prevents removal of 1.8? You didn't explain that.
Oh, it doesn't necessarily. That's something I was planning for us to
decide in a week or so (i.e. do we remove 1.8, or all the remaining
rdepends).

Anyway, I just wanted to check and see what you thought about the
possibility of migration.
