I’m seeing infrequent updates that say “me too!” in this thread, but no resolution. Is anyone working on this? If the problem is as simple as it seems, couldn’t the option to open new- or old-style be given, perhaps in the environment, or in a :set command? For what it’s worth, yes, me too.
