The problem becomes worse: Fortunately, with etch Debian becomes
UTF-8 by default, but neither a2ps nor enscript can handle it.
cedilla needs nearly 12 MB of CLisp plus 25 MB TeX stuff, which
makes it a little bit heavy-weight, but at least it works...

Bug #227187 (package xsysinfo) is fixed in unstable, but it isn't fixed in stable.
It's quite easy to fix, just apply the patch in the bug report.
That what I actually did, here is the package:

There are a few dozen source packages in the archive that contain a file
called debian/rules.old. In many cases, this was apparently the backup
copy during a cdbs conversion or something similar that should have
been removed. If you appear below, please consider fixing this.
