Same issue, command gs result:
$ gs -sDEVICE=x11 postscriptfile.ps
Unknown device: x11
Package: ghostscript-x
Version: 10.0.0~dfsg-6
When I use gv there is no preview of a .ps
gs --help doesn't give x11 as device,
default device is 'bbox'
strace -f -o strace_gv.out -e open,openat,read gv file.ps
