Hi,
We are about to enable building against ruby3.0 on unstable. During a test

Dear Helmut Grohne,
thank you so much for providing a patch to fix this bug.
I am trying to adopt Eterm package, so I uploaded a new version of Eterm
package to mentors including your patch (and other fixes).
I have tested the new package in my system and it install/uninstall

I am trying to be the new maintainer for Eterm package, so I am working
to try to fix some bugs.
Your bug is related to an old version of Eterm (0.9.5-2) and in Debian
is available a new version, 0.9.6, so maybe your problem is now fixed.
At least I am not experimenting this problem.

Hi,
Andy, I have tested a couple of solutions and I think the easiest way
for you is just to
download the Eterm package for Stretch (testing) and install it in your

Dear Andy,
I think this bug is the same than bug #770369.
This bug is close in stretch (testing). As it is expected the release
stretch occurs soon, the easiest way is:
1. To wait for the release of stretch to get this problem
I'd like to point out that the patch submitted for this bug has been tested for
the last 8 months on my machine, and still applies cleanly.

thanks for the patch, I've tested it and it fixes the problem.
I will incorporate it in the next release, expect the package
