The state of xawtv is not impressive:
* Last maintainer upload 2 years ago, orphaned for well over a year;
* No interest shown in adoption;
* RC bug (does not work), many other bugs;
* Upstream also seems dead;
* Good alternatives available (tvtime, kdetv).
I propose to remove xawtv.

Please don't. I cannot see a good alternative to fbtv which is part of
the xawtv source. And I personally cannot see a good alternative to the
