Last week I started looking into Debian packaging, and found myself at
the wnpp page [1]. I spent some time browing the lists, especially RFP
(Request For Package) and ITP (Intent To Package). At some point, I got
discouraged because lots of these are inactive, (446 of the 831
being_p

Currently, all kind of metadata (like bug summaries in the form of
PTS/DDPO bugs.txt, lintian checks, etc) are scattered all over the
place, and not easily reusable by others.
What about this:
for every site that has an interface to some metadata (qa.d.o, bugs.d.o,
etc), make sure that in the

updating the Alioth's pkg-java cvs repository, so I do not have access
