Could you please point out where gs-aladdin can be found? As far as I know
they are not to be found in debian. gs-aladdin is non-free software, and
can therefore only be put in non-free. But it is not there either, as far
as I can see. So this bugreport is valid as far as I'm concerned.

About update-ispell-dictionary: In the postinst of wenglish, I put some
code to read the old "/etc/dictionary" symlink and force the new
/etc/alternatives/dictionary to point to the corresponding new place.
You might want to consider having update-ispell-dictionary use the same
