syslog-ng: remove from woody?

Hi, there is an 19 days old grave error report against the woody version of syslog-ng. (BUG#1477748). No reply from maintainer in this time. So I consider this package is orphaned and should be removed from woody. Is there an offical way to request the removal of a package? Regards, Torsten
