the binaries i eventually found (via google) were for either "Linux ELF"
(tgz) or redhat 5, which i believe was still lib5. both were non-functional
for one reason or another. RealPlayer G2, which i assume is pretty old.

at no point is the user ever able to exit the script. this is very
unfortunate if the user didn't realise that this doesn't even download; it's
just a wrapper for alien. the only way to cancel is to switch to another
console and killall dpkg, wh

the configure script indicates that you can download realplayer for linux
from real.com/player. this is false, at least at the moment. i couldn't find
a real player binary that worked under unstable.
