Does someone who knows more about how fonts work have thoughts as to
whether or not this will break things for non-russians? It looks ok
to me :
- a similar change has already been made to icon/cool

I've tested cooledit 3.11.6-5 (stable, the one that the bug was
reported on) and 3.17.1-2 (unstable/testing) and I haven't been able
to reproduce the problem you reported here:

This question is appropriate for debian-user, debian-boot only handles the
base install (which doesn't include X). It is best to send to only one list
first rather than cross-posting to multiple. I'm forwarding to
debian-user, and I can suggest the package 'xf86setup' and the program
XF86Setup.
