Why two yEnc packages?

Do we really need two yEnc packages in Debian? Apparently yydecode can only decode, while yencode can do both, but I'm not sure yencode is even still developed, while yydecode seems to have an upstream. Can those two tools be merged? -- Martin Michlmayr [EMAIL PROTECTED]
