/usr/lib/pythonX.X (or whatever). I was thinking that generally useful python
code should go in those directories, but that code that's really only useful
as part of a particular application should go under /usr/lib/
somewhere. (That's what I did for 'subte
in /usr/share/doc/python-base)

and which states, if any, cause removal of *.py[co] files.
Is there any sort of policy for this? Or lacking that, is there a particular
package I ought to use as a good model?
