Looking at which packages it says aren't installable, I would guess that your pbuilder environment isn't set up to get packages from universe. For my pbuilder, I copied the .pbuilderrc file from here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PbuilderHowto#Multiple_pbuilders Thank you this did work out all. Nic
