just upgraded yesterday and this morning I couldn't print these two
pages I needed urgently…
This isn't just a documentation issue, it's a real blocker, and I spent
the afternoon trying to work around this until I forced my way in with
"SystemGroup root".
It's not the README that needs

Hello,
On a fresh CUPS install, I logged into the web interface as root to add
a printer, and was denied with a 401 Forbidden error. The problem seems
to be that root is not a member of a group in @SYSTEM (which by default
only includes lpadmin).
