I recently put a box to run as a mail gateway, so it has to run all
day long. Unfortunately, I'm not able to let the hard disk go to sleep
(or maybe It does, but I don't notice).
What I tried is issuing 'hdparm -S /dev/hda' and getting
read of some syslog entries but it doesn't seem to work

the jumper was on 'CS' (Cable Select, I assume this sets software

away as it didn't work with MacOS>8
