Hello Willy and Jorge,
it's a few days I'm trying to adjust my iBook too: when I installed Debian
on my iBook2 a friend of mine set up the xmodmap for me. That gave me a
working keyboard under X, but not on console.
Reading http://www.hispalinux.es/~data/ibook/t1.html inspired me a
solution for the
Hi everybody,
I recently surrendered to the temptations of Gnome, and beginned to play
around with multimedia. At the moment I'm trying to play DVDs with my
iBook 2 (Region 2 DVDs, to be precise).
As Bastien Nocera suggested in a previous message on this list I've
done:
apt-get update

Hi everybody,
seems I've gone a little bit further in the understanding of my audio
problem (totem not playing audio, while vlc and xmms seem to work fine).
Running totem from console I get:
(totem:440): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib

IBM HDD is slowly dying (I/O errors, can't recover journal from time to
time) so I had to remove it and put the original 10GB back on the machine.
The problem is I forgot to migrate some data from the 30GB t

Hi,
If you still have Mac OS X on this machine, or any other OS X machine
for that matter, grab the ext2 kernel extension for OS X and try to
access your firewire drive that way. The page is:

er... no :P
On the 10GB I installed only Debian :)
Am I doomed?
In addition to this: the 30GB has been formatted as Ext3 :(
I'm doomed...

I'm not sure; but how about using the r command in mac-fdisk to swap

Or are some of the partitions useless Apple_Driver partitions?
You could delete them.
Yes! You're perfectly right about the (r)eorder comman
Hello list,
I'm trying to mirror my iBook2 video for presentation (Debian
testing/unstable, 3.0r1, Kernel 2.4.18-newpmac).
Downloaded m3mirror from Benh's page.
With the FB device I get a 60Hz image that flickers a lot. If I try to
"upgrade" to 75Hz I get a melange of colours... if I open a shell I
