Hi everyone,
I'm currently running a testing system on my Powerbook Firewire. I do
have a few unstable packages installed (mainly X), but I'd like to get
more, like GNOME 1.2 for instance.
I know some people have testing/unstable mixes, and I'm wondering how
you manage it. I'm not ready to put
Hello,
Sorry for the slightly off topic questions, but does anyone know how I can
pass the yen symbol to pppd for a modem initialization string? The
strange (Japanese) USB ISDN terminal adapter that I bought requires a yen
symbol in the init string. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in
Hi all,
It's nice to be back using Linux on my Prismo. (The Internet was
unavailable to me for a while... OH THE HORROR!!! ^_^) I have to say
that it's been mightily improved over the last little while. Thanks to
all the PPC hackers out there!
Anyways, a small question. I'm running 2.4.5pre3
I'm going to kill 2 birds with one stone here...
I get the same errors.
And no, I actually don't have any IR devices to test out. Maybe I'll
get a Visor soon, but right now all the IR port does is shoot at the
wall...

Hello!
I've been trying to get Mac-on-Linux running on my PowerBook prismo.
I've compiled the modules, but I can't insert the mol.o module
properly do to unresolved symbols. specifically MUNGE_CONTEXT. Also,
only molsymglue1.o inserts properly. mol.o doesn't insert after I
insert molsymglue1.o

Hello,

working more or less properly on the PowerBook Prismo. Can someone
confirm this?
And if is is so, what do I have to do to make pmud work with it?
Should I just comment out the hack in /etc/power/pwrctl that forces

Hi everyone,
I just updated console-data from testing, and I followed the
instructions, but it foobared the keyboard. BUT, no worries, I was
able to boot off a rescue disk and everything is fine now, except for
one thing...
I'm running a PowerBook Prismo, and I have a Japanese USB Apple Pro

Hello all. I hope you've all had a great new year.
I'm trying to get X at 1024x768 on a Powerbook firewire. Has anyone been
successful in such a situation? I have a sneaking suspiction that the
reason none of the modelines for higher resoutions are accepted is because

Hi,
I'm trying to compile the low latency patch with the powerpc kernel. I
patched the kernel, and edited arch/ppc/config.in to allow me to select
it.
However, when I compile, It always dies with this message.

Hi all,
I'm running unstable with Gnome 2.4 on a PowerBook Firewire and I've
notice strange things with 2.4.
If I'm running esd and I put the laptop to sleep, esd goes into an
unwakeable sleep, according to top. (Under the S column, it says D)
This causes all sorts of problems with gnome, to the
