Rookie trying to figure out XF86 and other issues...

e device name for the modem on a Mac? When I boot Linux up, it tells me it's on tty00. Is this correct because when I try to log on to my ISP, Linux tells me that there is no modem at tty00. The modem does work on the Mac side of my computer. Oh and the modem is an Apple/GV 56k modem.
