Is anyone having problem compiling Benjamin's 2.4.19-rc1-benh source?
I tryed to compile it with my usual configuration file, but I get this error
ld -T arch/ppc/vmlinux.lds -Ttext 0xc000 -Bstatic arch/ppc/kernel/head.o
init/main.o init/version.o init/do_mounts.o \
--start-group \
Reading this mail I'm lead to suppose someone has compiled kde 3.0.2 on ppc?
Can someone write me the address of any site sharing these debs?
Thank you.

Unfortunately the debs produced were 1.0.2 version. Same with kdelibs 3.0.3 is
producing 3.0.2. Any ideas?

Have you tryed to tune some parameters with hdparm?
Mine looks like that
/dev/hda:
multcount= 0 (off)
I/O support = 0 (default 16-bit)
unmaskirq= 0 (off)
using_dma= 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
nowerr = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead= 8 (on)
geomet
I've seen (with happiness) the release of a pre-definitive version of kde
3.0.1 debs. But AFAIK only on i386 arch. The ppc debs are still dated.
Anyone knows if they've been compiled?
And if yes any apt-url?
Thanx

Hi all. I've installed xfree4.2.0 on my pismo.
- Recompiled the last benh kernel (2.4.29-pre10).
- Starting X with my old XF86Config-4 freezes the machine.
- Reading the log it looks like everything works fine.
- With xfree-4.1.0-17 (sid) it worked perfectly.
- Removing GLcore, dri, glx, pex5 and x

now it works!! I've added the option suggested by Benjamin and DRI works
perfectly (at least with mesa demos... but I'll check with quake)
Now I'm just wondering: "do I really need to compile agpgart inside the kernel
to get dri support?"
If I remember correctly I cannot compile dri support witho
but, still, it is working correctly...

Does anybody knows a way to force a PowerBook GMAC ethernet card to
full-duplex?
Is there any tool like mii-tools?

Try a newer patch of xfree. It used to work perfectly for me since
xfree-4.1.0-14.
I'll attach my XF86Config-4. I hope it may help
