debian binaries on e500 cores....

Hi- I'm using debian on an embedded powerpc system… from all of my reading, it seems that the pre-compiled binaries are built for e300 (603 equivalent cpus) and will not work on the e500 (embedded powerpc variations with the SPE FPU). Is that a correct view of the world? Thanks, JR
