Thanks for all the info.
I've reluctantly moved the hdd to the primary onboard IDE controller
of my B/W G3 (the original edition, the one with the very buggy CMD
controller), and installation worked like a charm from then on. I
still want to move the hdd back to the faster AEC controller, but
Hi Francois,
thanks for the help. I just booted my kernel with the

Here is a patch to fix the build problem of busybox-cvs on the
busybox-side. It includes the same code for powerpc, that was already
there for ia64 and some new ifdefs for powerpc. Not sure about this, but
perhaps other archs will need this too.

Hi,
I see in the mol-user-guide that there should be some links on my system
that i don't have:
/usr/include/linux -> /usr/src/linux/include/linux
/usr/include/asm -> /user/src/linux/include/asm
now these directories aren't empty in /usr/include and I don't have the
faintest Idea if it's safe to

Hi all
I am trying to install Debian 3.0 PPC on a stock Power Macintosh
7300/166.
However, I cannot make the graphics work! To start with, I cannot figure

what is the graphic board installed (It has no PCI board added, just the
basic graphic configuration). Moreover, during the install, I hav

I use the ATI card and not the on-board controller, so the line in my

But I have noticed that both KDe and Gnome run very slowly... I wonde
