I've been searching
around to see if there is a patch to repair the problem I have with my DVDROM
drive on my Tibook and I found your correspondance. The drive is a Matsushita
SR-8717 with driver version 1.4.7 and revision number HA18. It stopped working
when I was copying one

Hello ! This is a bug report I sent to the gnupg people, but I thought
you might be interested, since this happens on powerpc unstable and
can't be reproduced on i386.
I get segfaults when trying to sign/encrypt any file with a given set
of options (the one used by emacs mailcrypt).
gdb says :
hi!
im wondering if there is a way to let the system
automatically detect when a firewire module is
plugged, load the kernel modules..
but then also recognize which firewire harddisk it
is and mount it to the according mount points..
any idea if its somehow possible?
thanks!
ciao!

Just a note...
Marc Boucher released a new version of the driver for the internal
"softmodem" found in all recent Apple machines. The new version works
much better and finally shouldn't need a call to "hcfusbconfig" between
each use ;)
Hopefully, the NO DIALTONE problem should be gone too.

Hi
I've been trying to get my head around sound. I've recompiled the
kernel, 2.4.18 powerpc, making sure that the soundcore module is
included. I've created a symlink cdrom > /dev/hdc in /dev. I've made
myself a member of group audio. I've chown'ed the cdrom in /dev to
group audio. /dev/dsp i
