Hi all.
I don't get DRM working on my Rage 128 8M on ibook2 at 24bpp, because
XFree86 tells me that it needs at least 9MB of Video Memmory. Now I've
never run Mac OS X/ 9 on my machine. Just wondering whether this
restriction exists on that as well? ( I don't really care, I don't mind

This is probably FAQ somewhere, but I cannot find it:
I'm installing debian 3.0 stable on my Mac PowerPC, G4 400 (agp
graphics, "tower" configuration), and when trying to start X, it
bombs with:
Symbol fbdevHWGetLineLength from module

My access point has an integrated DHCP Server for the WLAN, so it should

Hi,
I decided that I don't need that MacOSX partition on my dual boot
ibook anymore. Is it safe to delete that partition (/dev/hda9) and
re-create a linux partition there instead? I am not quite sure,
because the partition map looks quite, uhm, interesting with all that
Apple driver stuff..

I'm having problems with mozilla. It now longer will fully launch.
When I run it from a xterm or from a menu, it starts up but I never get
the splash screen. The program never seems to die, and it does not give
me any errors.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried uninstalling and
re-inst

The correct solution to any esd problems with mozilla is to
add...
MOZILLA_DSP=none
to /etc/mozilla/mozillarc.
