Install on UATA

Hi all, I have a PowerTower 180 (7200 based) with a G3 upgrade card and an ACARD UATA 66 controller. On that controller is my only HD on which I would like to install debian. So far, I have been unable to do so since the kernel that came with the installation package does not support my UATA card.

I didn't realize that getting Debian onto this iBook would be so difficult. I hope someone on this list has some clues to help me. First I have to ask if anyone knows of anyone installing Debian on one of these things? My problems begin with the fact that I can't find any tools from Apple to repa
