Like many people, so it seems, I am having many problems setting up X...
Bear with me as I am new to Debian but have some experience in LinuxPPC and
in editing files with vi.

Again, this is against kernel 2.4.0-test11 with

Ok. I now have it working. After shuffling some options around and trying the
fbdev driver designation again, I was able to get v4.0.2 running, but only at a
bit depth of 8. I have a 2MB video card that can handle 16-bit color at

Hi.
I'm looking a cheap video input PCI card, so I can watch TV in a window
on my PowerMac 4400, while ircing, etc. I don't need anything expensive
and fancy -- I even have an old VCR I can use to tune in stations from.
